A coda, here, to our evocation of fogginess.
Prefaced by an acknowledgement: yes it's ironic, really that I'm about to paraphrase Saul Bellow.
Because in my albeit limited experience, the dreariest of writing school teachers turn out almost inevitably to be adherents of the World According to Saul.
But here we go. Make of this what you will:
Though storytellers may be (and, indeed, should aspire to be) brave explorers, intrepid Columbuses, they should also understand that they are purblind and can only really write about the near-at-hand.
